Moving Cog is an 1x1 level object that constantly spins, and moves some assets that land on it, such as the player, some Enemies, some Bosses, some Pickups, and some Level Objects. It functions similarly the Conveyor Belt. It first appeared in Mega Man 3 in Doc Robot's variant of Spark Man's stage, and was first implemented into Mega Man Maker in version 1.6.0.
Due to having some behavior similarities to the Conveyor Belt, Searchy and Metal Man's abilities to reverse Conveyor Belts also applies to Moving Cogs. Metal Man will also run in place when on a Moving Cog, much like he does when on Conveyor Belts.
Unlike Conveyor Belts however, each Moving Cog has an independent skin and movement direction, and it is not influenced by others around it. Both the skins and the movement direction can be customized in the Level Builder.
If an asset is on two Moving Cogs with opposing directions and both are moving towards each other, the asset will vibrate rapidly.
