KGN-002 Cold Man is one of the eight Robot Masters from Mega Man & Bass. He is featured in Mega Man Maker starting from version 1.8.0.

Originally created as a refrigerating robot conceived to preserve prehistoric dinosaur DNA, he joined King's army and was modified to become King's Guard Robot.

Behavior

Cold Man has three main attacks:

Attack 1: Ice Wall

As the battle starts, Cold Man will use his signature attack, Ice Wall, then push it. The Ice Wall will rebound once then shatter upon the next impact with terrain or Cold Man himself. Some weapons such as the Pile Driver may instantly despawn Cold Man's Ice Wall.

If Cold Man is unable to push the Ice Wall, he will still perform the push animation; however, the Ice Wall will despawn a few seconds after doing so. If his Ice Wall has been pushed but not yet despawned, Cold Man will continue to create new Ice Walls unsuccessfully as they despawn as soon as they are created.

Cold Man's Ice Wall is treated as part of Cold Man and not considered as a separate level object: it is only affected by time-stopping weapons such as Time Stopper or Flash Stopper and other weapons such as Time Slow if they are set as Cold Man's weakness.

Attack 2: Jump

After every two or four Ice Walls, Cold Man will perform a small jump in the player's direction. If the player is further than five tiles from Cold Man during his jump, Cold Man will perform a long jump towards the player, create an Ice Wall, and hop in place before creating a two-tile area of ice mist (similar to his introduction animation) at the player's position. This mist freezes the player in place temporarily, turning them blue and rendering them unable to move or fire any weapons. Pressing the movement, jump, and shoot buttons rapidly will free the player from being frozen quicker. If the player is not caught in this mist, Cold Man will hop in place and create this mist five times in total before destroying the created Ice Wall and repeating his Ice Wall attack pattern.

Attack 3: Summon a Mokumokumo

Once he reaches half health or less, Cold Man will summon a Mokumokumo if one currently does not exists on screen. He will do this after every successful Ice Wall shot if a Mokumokumo does not currently exist.

Interactions with weapons

If an electric weapon is set as a weakness, Cold Man will get stunned by it.

If Cold Man is hit by an ice weapon that is not set as his weakness, he will regain health by the same amount of damage the weapon would have dealt otherwise.
