MRX-048/DWN-048 Yamato Man is one of the Robot Masters from Mega Man 6 and is featured in Mega Man Maker as of version 1.7.0. He attacks with his signature weapon, the Yamato Spear.

Modeled after samurai, he was created as fighting robot, and took part in the first annual robot tournament. But during events of Mega Man 6, he was reprogrammed by Mr. X and used for his evil plans, but later beaten by Mega Man.

Tango is a cat robot created by Dr. Light and modified to assist Mega Man in battle. He was featured in Game Boy "Mega Man V."  He was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.8.0.
Behavior
Yamato Man has two techniques. He can shoot one spear head and try to recover it or he can jump and shoot three spear heads.

Whenever Tango is summoned by the player he will roll into a spiky ball and bounce onscreen attacking enemies until the player switches special weapons or the Weapon Energy for Tango is depleted.
When doing the first technique, contact with walls or the player character makes the spear head drop to the floor. This will lead Yamato Man to try to retrieve it. If he fails to get the spear head, it will disappear and he will do another attack instead. If the spear head goes to the border of a screen, he will also move to do other attack.

AI
In his second technique, Yamato Man tries to jump to the player character's position and fires three spear heads spread through the area the player character was moving on.
Tango is designed to home in on enemies and certain level objects.
Tango will home in and attempt to hit it's target 3 times. If it fails all 3 attempts it will return back to the players location.
If tango is successful in hitting a target it will not leave until the target is destroyed.  And if there are no targets on screen tango will follow the player until weapon energy depletes or if he falls into a pit.

Trivia
Yamato Man does not have a set attack pattern and does not perform the same attack more than twice.
* The development team had an idea for an additional use of Tango which was scrapped.  Originally there was an idea tossed around that Tango would have a unique animation to stop on and Press astro Buttons that are out of reach.  This idea was ultimately scrapped.
