While it is impossible to add custom music to a level per se, you are able to replace music files locally to change all instances of that song. Inside your Mega Man Maker folder is a music folder of several .nsf files of the game's music. Replacing these .nsf files with others of the same name will replace the music that plays in-game.

Do note that if Mega Man Maker tries to load a song while the file is missing, the game will crash upon trying to play it. It is recommended to keep a backup of the default music files for this purpose. Do also note that updating the game will overwrite any replaced music with the game's defaults.

NSF files cannot be converted from other formats such as ogg or mp3 and must be made specifically as an nsf. They must be custom-made or found online. The #nsf_replacements channel in the official discord has several user-submitted files to use.

Additionally, note that if an .nsf doesn't have a designated loop point, the game will not automatically loop it.
