Killer Bullets (or "Killer Bombs", depending on localization) are enemies in Mega Man Maker. They were introduced in the 1.1.0 update, along with Killer Bullet Spawners. Killer Bullets come from Fire Man and Bomb Man stages alongside the first Dr. Wily stage in Mega Man 1.

Behavior

Killer Bullets will fly across the screen in a wave pattern. They explode when shot by the player, however they can be frozen with the Ice Slasher. In the Level Builder, they can be set as red, orange or blue and to fly to the left or to the right.

While Killer Bullets created directly respect the height they were placed in, those spawned by a Killer Bullet Spawner will attempt to fly in the same level of height as the player is in when it is spawned. For example, if Mega Man is below the spawner once it spawns a Killer Bullet, the enemy will fly down to the same level of height as him. A Killer Bullet Spawner will only spawn one Killer Bullet at a time. In other words, it will only spawn Killer Bullets if the previous spawned bullet has left the screen. This makes possible to cheat them by freezing its current Killer Bullet with weapons like Ice Slasher. The Killer Bullet Spawner is invisible and non-solid. It is in effect as long as it is in the game screen.

Unlike its original appearance in Mega Man 1, Killer Bullets do not explode on contact. This is similar to its appearance in Mega Man: The Wily Wars. However, melee weapons that involve using the body as attack like Top Spin and Oil Slider will make it explode and damage the player. Flash Stopper cannot stop the explosion.

In Mega Man Powered Up the enemy instead flies straight and then tries to ambush the player. However, this version has not been implemented in Mega Man Maker.

Trivia

  • If the player runs past a Killer Bullet Spawner set to go to the same direction as they are currently running in, it will only start spawning once Mega Man has ran through it.
