Search Snake is Snake Man's signature weapon, originating from Mega Man 3 and reappearing in Mega Man III and Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of version 1.0.0.

E-Clare is a spriter and former beta tester for Mega Man Maker. She joined the development team in 2017 as a beta tester, although she helped with sprites to some extent. Some of the sprites she made for the Megamix Engine were reused in this game.
It lets the user send out up to 3 miniature snake drones in a small arc before they crawl across terrain and up walls. They will despawn upon hitting a ceiling or touching the floor after going down a wall, however. When used underwater, they will arc 4 tiles upwards due to the lower gravity. It will travel across Dust Blocks and Ice Blocks, but not Weapon Blocks marked with it, and the only way to destroy the former two objects is to fire it at point-blank. Search Snake will fall through semi-solid platforms, unlike Bubble Lead. All members of the Spine family are susceptible to this weapon, like Garyoby was in Mega Man III.

Due to time constraints, she transitioned out of beta testing during 1.5.0's development to focus more on making sprites. In 1.7.0, she was the primary contributor to Roll's sprites. After the update's release, E-Clare was officially considered a spriter.
Trivia
* Search Snake being unable to travel down corners is confirmed to be a bug, as it was capable of doing so in Mega Man 3.

Search Snake is Snake Man's signature weapon, originating from Mega Man 3 and reappearing in Mega Man III and Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of version 1.0.0.
