Weapons are a category of assets used by the player to defeat enemies and bosses, overcome obstacles, and destroy certain level objects.
|description=Mega Man's classic weapon, fires compressed energy bullets.
|damage=1(uncharged), 3(fully-charged)
|game=Mega Man 1
|version=1.0.0
|programmer=WreckingPrograms}}
The Mega Buster is Mega Man's signature weapon, appearing in every game since Mega Man 1. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of 1.0.0.

When pressing the attack key, a small shot of solar energy is released forward from the buster, which can pass through solid tiles and objects. Up to three shots can be onscreen at a time, and they will disappear upon damaging an enemy regardless of whether or not the shot defeated them. By holding the attack key, the weapon can be charged up to two levels. A half-charged shot is slightly larger than a uncharged one, but deals the same amount of damage. A fully-charged shot deals more damage, and will continue on even if it destroys an object or enemy. Only one fully-charged shot can be on screen at a time.
Weapons
As of version 1.7.5, there are a total of 101 weapons. This includes Nothing, 4 Buster weapons, all 46 weapons from the original six NES games, 3 weapons from the five Game Boy games, 4 weapons from Mega Man 7, 5 weapons from Mega Man 8, 7 weapons from Mega Man 9, 6 weapons from Mega Man 10, 4 weapons from Mega Man 11, all 2 weapons from Powered Up and 15 utility weapons. In addition to these weapons, there are 4 weapons that originate from other games that are not related to the Mega Man franchise.

Charge shots can be enabled or disabled in the Level Settings menu in the Level Builder. There are three possible charge shot types: MM4, MM5, and MM6. The MM4 charge shot has a short delay before being released, and the MM5 charge shot is larger than both the MM4 and MM6 ones. All three types deal the same amount of damage.
Generic
Weapons that do not belong to any specific category as they appear in all categories. Busters serve as default weapons for their respective characters.
