Cut Man Spikes.

Spikes are assets in Mega Man Maker that have been in the official Mega Man games since the beginning of the series and in some Mega Man spinoffs. If the player touches them, the player will instantly die.

Like Mega Man 2 and further games, the spikes will not kill the player character if they are in an invulnerable state after being hit by enemies or level objects that do damage.

The Skull Barrier's shield was modified to allow the player character to be immune to spikes and thus to walk on them as long as the shield is not despawned.

So far, there are 127 types of spikes in the game.

Cossack Stage 3 Spikes in the air.
  • The Mega Man 1 and Dr. Cossack Stage 3 spikes have a custom air spike tile if there is no ground around the spike. This idea was taken from Mega Man Powered Up.
  • The Top Man spike prior to 1.5 was based on an unused spike tile from Top Man's original stage. https://tcrf.net/Mega_Man_3_(NES)#Spikes_2 was relocated as a Gemini Spike, presumably because of its similarity to the spikes there.
  • The Burst Spike's description is a reference to the Pokémon theme song.
  • If the player character spawns on spikes in any way, they will spawn in their invincibility frames.
