Star Crash is Star Man's signature weapon, originating from Mega Man 5. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of version 1.0.0.

When activated, the user is surrounded by orbiting stars that can nullify one projectile or damage an enemy once before disappearing. Pressing the attack key while it's equipped will allow it to be thrown, slowly moving forward as it does. If it's still attached to the user, they experience lowered gravity as if they were underwater. This does not stack with Water's low gravity, however. If the shield is removed by any means, the player's gravity returns to normal. This will work the other way around, if you use star crash in the middle of a jump the player will only be affected by what remaining upwards momentum their jump still has; This allows Star Crash to be paired with other weapons like Charge Kick to perform some tricky maneuvers. Additionally, Star Crash only consumes energy when thrown or absorbed by enemies or objects.

Glitches

  • If Bass or Roll goes above the screen while Star Crash is active, it will be removed from them.

Trivia

  • If the player bounces on a striped Bouncy Ball while Star Crash is active, they can bounce up 27 tiles, or nearly the height of two screens.
  • Originally, Star Crash used 3 units of energy if it contacts an enemy or projectile while still equipped. This was changed in Mega Man Maker to be 2 units so as to be consistent.
  • Star Crash will effortlessly break through all Weapon Blocks and Dust Blocks it touches without consuming any energy.
