Shrink is a small shrimp robot. It originates from Mega Man 2 from Bubble Man's stage and reappears in Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.2.0.

Behavior

When on land, the Shrink will begin to panic, and slowly bounce away from the player, with every few bounces being slightly higher in height than the usual. When in water, the Shrink will swim in the direction of the player, pause for a few seconds while descending downwards slightly, before repeating the pattern.

If a Shrink in land falls to water, it will move to its water pattern.

In Mega Man 2, Shrink does not interact with solids while swimming. This was changed in Mega Man Maker, presumably due to water being limited to terrain.

Shrinks can be produced from the Lantern Fish.

Trivia

  • One of the definitions to the word "shrink" is "to retreat" which is exactly what the enemy Shrink does when on land in Mega Man Maker.

Glitches

  • Shrink can be trapped in a Danger Wrap bubble when swimming around underwater, but cannot be trapped in a bubble when flopping around on land.
