Moving Elevator is a 6x2 purple platform with lights on the the sides. It originates from Dr. Wily Stage 3 inMega Man 10, and was added in version 1.6.0 of Mega Man Maker.

The platform starts as stationary, with no buttons visible, and the lights on its sides blinking. When the player character lands on the platform, it will activate, causing the horizontal movement buttons to appear, and the platform to move vertically automatically in its set direction.

Once the platform starts moving in a direction, be it the automatic vertical movement, the horizontal movement from pressing down either horizontal movement button, or both, the platform will start moving slowly before gaining speed and eventually reaching maximum speed. The player character can stand on the side buttons to control its direction, while a Push Block can keep a button pressed.

When the player character gets off a horizontal movement button or a Push Block is moved away from it, the platform may take a while to stop moving horizontally depending on its movement speed. The Moving Elevator can pass through terrain.

If both horizontal movement buttons are pressed at the same time, the platform will behave as if neither are pressed.

Force Beams will be blocked by Moving Elevators while they are in contact with them or their point of origin, similarly to them being blocked by other solid entities.

The platform can be set to three different vertical directions in the Level Builder:

  • Upwards - The platform will move upwards automatically when activated.
  • Downwards - The platform will move downwards automatically when activated.
  • Horizontal Only - The platform will not move vertically when activated.

Information
Description: Stops the elevator from moving up or down past this point.
Category: Level Objects
Game of origin: Mega Man 10

Moving Elevator Vertical Stop is an object that stops a Moving Elevator from moving vertically past it, but it will not stop the platform from moving horizontally.

If it is possible to navigate a Moving Elevator horizontally around a Moving Elevator Vertical Stop, the Moving Elevator will continue moving vertical once again.

Glitches

  • Push Blocks can clip or zip through walls when pushed into them by Moving Elevator, this can also be used to clip the player into walls.
