Game of origin: Mega Man 7
Damage: TBD

Danger Wrap is Burst Man's signature weapon from Mega Man 7, and is one of the weapons featured in Mega Man Maker.

The weapon consists of the user firing an explosive from their buster, with or without the aid of a bubble. In addition, holding up or down when firing a shot, or firing without a direction held, can change how the attack functions, totaling 6 ways of using the attack, after factoring in the two different facing directions of the player.

By holding up and shooting, the player will shoot an explosive encased in a bubble will travel in an arc approximately 1 tiles from its starting point in the player's facing direction, then travels straight up with great acceleration. By shooting without any direction held, the player will shoot an explosive encased in a bubble will travel in an arc approximately 4 tiles from its starting point in the player's facing direction, then travels straight up with great acceleration. By holding down and shooting, the player will shoot a mine that drops straight down from its starting point in front of the player, and latched itself onto the floor, before shortly exploding if an enemy collides with it, or enough time expires. If Danger Wrap's mine latches onto a conveyor belt the mine will be moved along it.

If the "bubbled" Danger Wrap hits a larger enemy or boss regardless of its HP, or a small enemy with 4 or more HP, the bubble will explode on contact, it it hits a small enemy with 3 or less HP remaining, they will become trapped in the bubble with the explosive. The enemy trapped in the bubble can be pushed around, exploding if left alone for too long or pushed into a wall, ceiling, another enemy, or a boss. The bubble encased enemy can also be pushed off-screen to despawn it.

You can only have one of the "bubbled" Danger Wraps on screen at a time, and you can only have three of the "unbubbled" Danger Wraps on screen at a time. The on-screen limit for the "bubbled" Danger Wrap does not interfere with the on-screen limit for the "unbubbled" Danger Wrap.

Trivia

  • Whopper is the only mini-boss enemy that can be trapped in Danger Wrap's bubble.
  • Spring Man's Wild Coils are the only boss projectile that can be trapped in Danger Wrap's bubble.
  • Placing mines on Flame Pillars seems to have the mine repeatedly have its timer reset, resulting in it never exploding.

Glitches

  • For some reason, the enemy Shrink can only be trapped in Danger Wrap's bubble if it is swimming underwater, the bubble will instead detonate on contact if Shrink is flopping around on land. This doesn't happen with enemies of similar behaviours outside water, like Gyoraibo or Gabgyo.
