Mega Man IV (Released in Japan as "Rockman World 4") is the fourth Mega Man installment in the Game Boy. It was released in japan on October 29, 1993, and in North America on December 12, 1993.

Like previous Mega Man games on Game Boy, there are two sets of four Robot Masters, four from Mega Man 4 and four from Mega Man 5. The Mega Man Killer Ballade debuts in this game.

Mega Man IV introduced boss rematches and the ability to revisit completed stages to the Game Boy series.

In Mega Man Maker

As of version 1.7.3.2, Mega Man IV has very minimal representation in Mega Man Maker. The only asset originating from Mega Man IV is the weapon Ballade Cracker which was added in version 1.6.0 and reappears in Mega Man 10. However, some functions added to certain assets that make a reappearance in Mega Man IV have been implemented into Mega Man Maker.
