DWN-049 Freeze Man is one of the eight Robot Master bosses from Mega Man 7. He was added to Mega Man Maker in 1.7.0 His signature weapon is the Freeze Cracker. ==Behavior==
Behavior
Freeze Man remains still, taunting the player. If the player fires first, Freeze Man makes a high jump to use the Freeze Cracker. If the player moves first, Freeze Man starts walking. While walking, he will jump upwards and will throw the Freeze Cracker downwards, freezing the floor. If the player is on the ground while this happens, they will be stuck and will have to press multiple buttons to break free or will have to wait until they get hit. Freeze Man will then come to the ground and will throw one Freeze Cracker up to the ceiling. This will form icicles on the ceiling. If there is no ceiling however, they will simply spawn from the top of the screen. The icicles will later fall and will destroy parts of the frozen floor, removing the ice physics from it. While this happens, Freeze Man will throw a Freeze Cracker projectile at the player. If they get hit, they will be frozen until they get hit again or press multiple buttons. The effects of the downwards and upwards Freeze Cracker will go after a while if the player does not get hit.
Hard Man only has two attacks; his first attack is to fire two Hard Knuckles that will change direction once if the player character gets around them. His second attack is to jump high into the air and slam headfirst into the ground, completely immobilizing and disabling the player's actions briefly, regardless if the player is on the ground or in the air. Sometimes, he doesn't dive into terrain while doing his high jump, so he doesn't stun the player character.

Similarly to his fight in Dr. Wily's Castle in Mega Man 7, if Freeze Man is hit by the player's Freeze Cracker or another ice weapon such as Ice Slasher, the weapon will deal damage like normal but Freeze Man and the player will stop in place. Freeze Man is affected by gravity during this phase while the player is not. Freeze Man will then mock the player, recover 5 HP, unfreeze the player and himself and resume normal behavior. However, he will not stop in place or heal if an ice weapon is set as his primary weakness.
His Hard Knuckles come out fast and stop on a dime before coming back at the player character for a second attempt at their life. Spotting when Hard Man will jump and fall and reacting quickly allows the player to avoid getting pinned under him which could cause not one, but two contact damage hits. During the stun, Hard Man can be vulnerable to attacks that damage constantly, like the Flame Sword if he is not immune to that weapon.

Glitches
Glitches
*In version 1.7.1, if the player was frozen by Freeze Man's Freeze Cracker and was hit after getting frozen or tried to break out, the game would sometimes crash. This was likely due to the sound effect for breaking out of ice not being set properly. This was fixed in version 1.7.2.
*If the player is flashing when they are stunned by Hard Man, their flashing will pause until unstunned.
*Sometimes under certain layout circumstances, Hard Man won't try to stun the player during his jump and will essentially perform a quick jump.

Trivia
Trivia
*Freeze Man is one of the Robot Masters that react to weapons. In Freeze Man's case, he heals after getting hit by any ice weapon.
*The player can still be moved by various level objects and enemies, such as Magnets, Conveyor Belts, Mag Flies, and Fan Fiends, when stunned by Hard Man's diving headbutt.
*Freeze Man is also one of two Robot Masters that will not attack or move until the player does so. The only other Robot Master with such behavior is Skull Man.
*Although left in Mega Man Maker intentionally for authenticity, Hard Man's ability to stun the player even when they are in the air is the result of Mega Man 3 being rushed when made. The move was most likely meant to work similar to, if not identical to Guts Man's stunning slam in Mega Man 1 but became what it was to save time.
*Hard Man's Hard Knuckles will despawn if they travel off-screen. If Hard Man is off-screen when firing his Hard Knuckles, they will despawn the instant he shoots them, due to the Hard Knuckles already being off-screen. This Hard Knuckle despawning behaviour is carried over from Hard Man's source game, Mega Man 3.

DLWN-020/DRWN-020/DWN-020 Hard Man is one of the 8 Robot Masters from Mega Man 3 featured in Mega Man Maker since version 1.2.0 He was built by both Dr. Light and Dr. Wily. He was one of 8 Robot Masters assigned to travel to different mining planets to gather Energy Elements and other materials to finish building the peace-keeping robot Gamma. He's equipped with his signature weapon, the Hard Knuckle.

He later reappered during events of Mega Man II where he and three other MM3 robots were guarding Quint's room.

Behavior

Hard Man only has two attacks; his first attack is to fire two Hard Knuckles that will change direction once if the player character gets around them. His second attack is to jump high into the air and slam headfirst into the ground, completely immobilizing and disabling the player's actions briefly, regardless if the player is on the ground or in the air. Sometimes, he doesn't dive into terrain while doing his high jump, so he doesn't stun the player character.

Glitches

 • If the player is flashing when they are stunned by Hard Man, their flashing will pause until unstunned.
 • Sometimes under certain layout circumstances, Hard Man won't try to stun the player during his jump and will essentially perform a quick jump.

Trivia

 • The player can still be moved by various level objects and enemies, such as Magnets, Conveyor Belts, Mag Flies, and Fan Fiends, when stunned by Hard Man's diving headbutt.
 • Although left in Mega Man Maker intentionally for authenticity, Hard Man's ability to stun the player even when they are in the air is the result of Mega Man 3 being rushed when made. The move was most likely meant to work similar to, if not identical to Guts Man's stunning slam in Mega Man 1 but became what it was to save time.
 • Hard Man's Hard Knuckles will despawn if they travel off-screen. If Hard Man is off-screen when firing his Hard Knuckles, they will despawn the instant he shoots them, due to the Hard Knuckles already being off-screen. This Hard Knuckle despawning behaviour is carried over from Hard Man's source game, Mega Man 3.
