Dr. Albert O'Wily was originally friends and classmates with [[Dr. Light|Dr. Thomas O'Light]] at the Robot Institute of Technology, but both had a falling out due to Dr. Thomas O'Light getting his funding revoked and ultimately getting his "Double Gear System" project shut down, due to claiming the project could be too dangerous. This led to a long-lasting rivalry between the two with Dr. Albert O'Wily blaming Dr. O'Light for sabotaging the success of his projects and ruining his reputation.
As of version [[1.10.4]], there are a total of 126 weapons. This includes [[Nothing]], 4 Buster weapons, all 46 weapons from the original six NES games, 9 weapons from the five Game Boy games, 6 weapons from ''[[Mega Man 7]]'', 7 weapons from ''[[Mega Man 8]]'', 7 weapons from ''[[Mega Man & Bass]]'', 8 weapons from ''[[Mega Man 9]]'', 7 weapons from ''[[Mega Man 10]]'', 6 weapons from ''[[Mega Man 11]]'', the 2 new weapons from ''[[Mega Man Powered Up]]'', 10 animal-based weapons, and 6 utility weapons. Weapons are a category of assets used by the player to defeat enemies and bosses, overcome obstacles, and destroy certain level objects.

As of version 1.10.4, there are a total of 126 weapons. This includes Nothing, 4 Buster weapons, all 46 weapons from the original six NES games, 9 weapons from the five Game Boy games, 6 weapons from Mega Man 7, 7 weapons from Mega Man 8, 7 weapons from Mega Man & Bass, 8 weapons from Mega Man 9, 7 weapons from Mega Man 10, 6 weapons from Mega Man 11, the 2 new weapons from Mega Man Powered Up, 10 animal-based weapons, and 6 utility weapons.
