History
The visual and auditory design of the title screen has received multiple changes throughout the game's history. In its early versions, it looked like a series of internal circuits, but after 1.1.0, it was changed to a blue sky with clouds and blocks floating to adjust to the new title and to renew the visuals.
Visual variants

- Since version 1.2.4, there is also a special animated background used in-game during the Christmas season (December 24 to January 1) that features a Christmas tree with presents.

- Since 1.7.4, inputting "30XX" during the splash screen opening credits will replace the title screen, main menu, and online menu music with the menu music from 30XX. This was also the way to unlock the 30XX menu music for use in levels, however since 1.8.1 the music is unlocked by default.

Trivia
- The default title screen since 1.1.0 closely resembles a promotional artwork by Gaem used for the launch of Mega Man Maker with a few changes:
- The lens flare from the Sun is now in the center of the screen instead of the top right corner along with a more yellowish tinge.
- The ladder on the green block in the middle right, a few green blocks firing red blocks, the floating ground platform, and Mega Man himself are now missing.
- Additional purple blocks now float in the sky.

- Prior to version 1.1.0, parts of the old Mega Maker logo would appear from each of the four edges of the screen against a black background to form the logo and reveal the title screen background. Since version 1.1.0, the screen starts off black with the Mega Man Maker logo flashing white twice before revealing the logo and the title screen background.
- The “duwang” Easter egg refers to a nickname given to a translation of the fourth story arc of the Japanese manga series JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure titled Diamond is Unbreakable while the sky color is a reference to the similarly colored yellow sky seen in the anime adaptation of the part.
- The "SANS" Easter egg refers to a character with the same name from the video game Undertale: the Megalovania theme plays when facing Sans in the final boss fight of the game when taking the "genocide" route.
- The "30XX" Easter egg refers to the game of the same name that the creator of Mega Man Maker, WreckingPrograms, also worked on.
- The "duwang" title screen and the 30XX menu music will be replaced by the default title screen and menu music respectively if the player loads a level and returns to the main or online menu, or exits the game.
