Weapons are a category of assets used by the player to defeat enemies and bosses, overcome obstacles, and destroy certain level objects.
As of version 1.10.4, there are a total of 126 weapons. This includes Nothing, 4 Buster weapons, all 46 weapons from the original six NES games, 9 weapons from the five Game Boy games, 6 weapons from Mega Man 7, 7 weapons from Mega Man 8, 7 weapons from Mega Man & Bass, 8 weapons from Mega Man 9, 7 weapons from Mega Man 10, 6 weapons from Mega Man 11, the 2 new weapons from Mega Man Powered Up, 10 animal-based weapons, and 6 utility weapons. In addition to these weapons, there are 5 weapons that originate from other games that are not related to the Mega Man franchise.
May 9th, 2023 - Water hover was announced, a special type of platform that travels horizontally with the player or an enemy once stepped on and can't move through walls.
April 17th, 2023 - The feature to change the orientation of spikes was announced, allowing for better visuals in levels.
March 21st, 2023 - Boobeam Rails were announced, a variant of Boobeam Traps that travel along a customizable path.
February 26th, 2023 - Feeber was announced, a crab-like enemy that shoots bubbles with different properties depending on the chosen color.
January 26th, 2023 - A new type of platform that floats on water was announced.
February 25, 2026 - Cannon Joe is announced as the first enemy introduced in the 1.10.5 content patch.
February 16, 2026 - 1.11.0 is announced to be delayed towards at least the end of the year. To compensate, 1.10.5 will be released as a content patch to commemorate Mega Man Maker's ninth anniversary.
August 31, 2025 - 1.10.2 is released. Additionally, it is announced that smaller patches with new assets are planned to be released during the development of the next update.
