Hide And Seek is an example level created by Hansov. It is a short exploration level that tasks the player with finding statues of the six Robot Masters from the original Mega Man.
Walkthrough
Intro: The level begins by showing all the statues, followed by entering a teleporter, showing them scatter, and dropping the player into the main section of the level, with only one health. The player would die in one hit, however, the only source of damage in the level are two easily-avoided spikes. Regardless, the player is open to explore, destroying Cracked Blocks with Power Adaptor or Elec Beam to find the statues with small health pickups inside, allowing access to the end of the level.
Elec Beam: Elec Beam is not in the player's arsenal upon starting the level, and must be collected before use. As multiple other statues are locked behind using it, it's advisable to collect it as soon as possible. From the start, it requires going one screen to the right, and climbing the ladder upwards. After platforming on some Floating Balloons, collect the beam and use it to destroy a nearby Guts Block to find Elec Man.
Right Side: As the player is on the right side of the level already, there are two other paths to take. Going downwards will lead to a room with invisible tiles. Going downwards, use your Adaptor to destroy the block in your path and slide through. The Fire Man statue will be at the end.
Going farther right instead, there is some basic platforming with six cracked blocks. Destroying them will reveal Bomb Man on the bottom.
Left Side: Upon going to the left side of the level, falling down a pit on the left side of the screen will lead to a room requiring the use of Elec Beam to continue. Guts Man is found at the bottom, and another use of Super Adaptor to get back up.
Going upwards instead will lead to a room with two Crash Lifts going back and forth. Jump onto them and break the cracked blocks, finding Cut Man at the top.
Going farther left will lead to an icy room. Ice Man can be found in the cracked ice on the left side. However, while difficult to hit by accident, this room has two spikes on the ceiling that will force a restart if touched.
Once all six statues are found, return to the central room and drop down into the final room. There is no danger here, simply some balloons and the Energy Element. When the player is done celebrating, collect the element to end the stage.
