Water Shield is Pump Man's signature weapon, originating from Mega Man 10. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of version 1.6.0.

When activated, the user creates eight droplets of water that orbit around them to form a shield. It takes one second for the shield to fully form, and each droplet can nullify one projectile or hit an enemy once before dissipating. A full shield can deal a maximum of 16 units of damage. Pressing the attack key once the shield is formed will cause the droplets to spiral out around the user. Unlike most shield weapons, Water Shield uses energy upon activation, and it can be deflected if the user is near reflective objects while it's still equipped. Since it is a water-based weapon, it can extinguish burning Oil, and dilute Chemical Solution, but cannot douse Flame Pillars unlike Bubble Lead and Water Wave.

Trivia

  • If the player's fall speed is high enough, and they drop onto an Oil fire while Water Shield is equipped, they will be killed by the fire while putting it out at the same time.
  • Water Shield's method of firing is similar to that of Power Stone.
  • In Mega Man 10, Water Shield could be used to disarm a Returning Machine Gun Joe's shield since it can hit four times rapidly. This feature is absent in Mega Man Maker, and it shared this trait with the Bass Buster and Screw Crusher.
