Flappy Phoenix is an example level created by BushBacon. It serves as a showcase on various ways Flappy Beat can be used.

The level begins with some basic platforming with Plantforms and Concrete Lifts, while avoiding Needle Presses and Big Fish. Afterwards, the player must run from multiple Fire Walls, followed by a tight platforming segment involving jumping across more Concrete Lifts and Plantforms, ending with a ladder climb.

Afterwards, the player will pick up a Weapon Capsule containing Flappy Beat, while two more Fire Walls will cover the top and bottom of the screen, requiring the player to carefully maneuver using Flappy Beat up to the next ladder, leading to the next checkpoint. Here, a Concrete Lift will take the player up several screens. At the top is two Yashichis, and the player must carefully travel down with Flappy Beat to either side to reach the final checkpoint.

Following the final checkpoint, the final fight against Yamato Man will begin. Interestingly, although the player may go in either direction from the Yashichis, both sides are merely mirror images of each other, and both Yamato Men end the stage as normal.

Trivia

  • Several of the pits in this level are not actually pits, as they connect to other rooms. The only rooms with real pits are the room with the first checkpoint and the few rooms following it.
