It allows the user to fire a small spearhead that goes forward at either an upward or downward slant, alternating between the two each time it is fired. These spears carry on through defeated enemies and [[Dust Block]]s, also they can pierce the shields of [[Shield Attacker]]s, [[Kakinbatank]] and [[Knight Man]].  Yamato Spear can pierce the shielded state of [[Ben K]], but not it's projectile attack. Up to three Yamato Spears can be onscreen at a time.
