When the attack key is pressed, three stones spiral out from the user's location, passing through all enemies regardless of any armor or HP they may have. However, it can still be stopped by reflective objects such as unmarked Weapon Blocks, Wood Man and Plant Man's shields, Astro Man's orbiting bits, and Grenade Man's Flash Bomb and falling debris. Other objects such as On/Off Switches, Dust Blocks, Ice Blocks, and Weapon blocks marked with Power Stone will absorb the stones when they make contact. The stones will continue to spiral out until all three leave the screen, and the weapon cannot be refired until then.

Trivia

  • Power Stone is unique in that it doesn't use a shooting or throwing animation, while not being a shield or melee weapon either.
  • It was known as the weakest weapon in Mega Man 5, due to its low power and accuracy, as well as the fact that it can be deflected when it touches an enemy projectile.
