|Star Crash's concept art in Mega Man 5|
When activated, the user will surround themselves with star-shaped projectiles that will damage any enemy they come in contact with and destroy any small projectiles. Firing the weapon again while it is still active will then launch the shield forward in the direction the user is currently facing.
In Mega Man Maker, the weapon has been buffed in damage as well as modified to give the user altered gravity while it's active. If the user jumps with Star Crash activated they will jump higher and slower as though they are in space or submerged in water. If the shield is destroyed, thrown, or switched off of while the user is in mid-air their gravity will return to normal causing them to drop quickly.
- In some other official publications, Star Crash is instead called Star Barrier.
- If the user is in water and has Star Crash active, they will not experience twice the change in gravity and will instead jump the same height and speed as though they were outside of water with the weapon active or in the water without the weapon active.
