|Mega Man attached to a wall using Pile Driver in Mega Man Maker|
The weapon consists of the player pressing the shoot button to dash forwards and attack with a spike. The attack can both be used on the ground and in the air.
On collision with certain assets such as vulnerable enemies and bosses, as well as solid tiles and level objects, the weapon's spike will puncture the asset causing 1 damage if the enemy isn't shielded or armored, followed by an explosion that also causes 1 damage and pierces through enemy shields and armor, and then pushes the player backwards in an arc. After the player's knockback has ended the player will regain control. If the player does not collide with an asset while dashing, the player will regain control once the dash ends. The ammo cost for using the weapon is 3, regardless if the dash collides with an asset or not.
Similar to Charge Kick, during the entirety of the attack animation (including the dash, puncture, explosion, and player knockback), the player is immune to most sources of damage and instant death. This means that the player is capable of avoiding enemy and boss projectiles, damaging level object hazards, pass through red Force Beams and Magma Beams safely, and even collide with walls of spikes without being harmed. Unlike Charge Kick, it allows the player to dash in the air indefinitely as far as the the weapon energy allows it.
Pile Driver is capable of destroying Cracked Blocks.
