Shadow Blade is Shadow Man's signature weapon from Mega Man 3, and is one of the weapons featured in Mega Man Maker since version 1.4.0.

The Shadow Blade is a shuriken thrown by the player that can travel through walls. The weapon can be thrown in 5 directions, horizontally in both facing directions, diagonally upwards in both facing directions, and straight upwards. When thrown, the Shadow Blade will travel in the direction it is thrown five tiles, then reverse direction and travel five tiles back to its point of origin, where it will then despawn. The Shadow Blade will also despawn if it travels off-screen, or deals damage to an enemy. Only one active Shadow Blade can be on screen at a time.

  • The weapon description for Shadow Blade in Mega Man Maker makes reference to how the weapon is somewhat similar in functionality to the Metal Blade.
  • In Mega Man 3, when Shadow Man attacks using Shadow Blade, he throws two at a time, one traveling horizontally, and the other traveling diagonally upwards, drastically different than its functionality when used by the player.
  • In Mega Man III for Gameboy, Shadow Blade only travels three and a half tiles before reversing direction and returning to its origin point, when used by the player.
