|Crystal Eye's concept art in Mega Man 5|
The user will shoot out one large crystal ball straight forward. If the ball collides with a wall it will break into three more smaller crystal balls that will go flying in the opposite direction in various angles, ricocheting off any walls they come in contact with until they collide with an enemy or despawn. In Mega Man Maker the weapon's damage has been improved and the player can have more crystal eyes on the screen at a time.
The Crystal Eye also breaks when used on an enemy or a boss, doing damage on contact. This is a slight change made to Mega Man Maker, as in Mega Man 5 the large crystal eye would sometimes vanish after doing damage instead of breaking when used against some bosses.
- In Mega Man 5 Crystal Eye was a weakness of the Boss Big Pets with it dealing 4 damage to him upon a successful hit. However, this would only happen if hit with the large Crystal Eye, with any of the three smaller ones only doing 2 damage instead. This is unique to Big Pets as Crystal Eye will normally deal the same amount of damage to bosses regardless if the bosses are hit by the big or small projectiles.
- In Mega Man 5, Napalm Man takes 3 damage from his weakness of Crystal Eye compared to the other bosses in the same game, which take 4 damage from their weaknesses, likely referencing how Napalm must be treated carefully even if both Napalm Man and his weapon are not truly napalm.
