The SRU-21/P is an enemy originating from Mega Man 6, having appeared in Centaur Man's stage. It has a rather abstract form, but it can be surmised that it is some sort of explosive device.
SRU-21/P debuted in version 1.4.0 of Mega Man Maker.
Level Builder
The SRU-21/P has no special customizable options, and it is on the 5th layer of assets, sharing this placement with tiles and most level objects.
Behavior
Initially, the SRU-21/P will remain stationary in the air, until the player enters a range of around 3 tiles away on the horizontal axis. It will then launch itself downwards, exploding upon contact with terrain - which will launch three shrapnel projectiles directly and diagonally upwards in the process. If the SRU-21/P comes into contact with water, its detonation will be delayed, and it will instead float in place on the water's surface for a couple seconds before exploding. If the SRU-21/P is placed on the uppermost horizontal border of a screen, it will only appear upon diving downwards, ambushing the player in the process.
Trivia
- The SRU-21/P bears resemblance to other aquatic enemies such as the M-445 from Mega Man 2 or CWU-01P from Mega Man 1, thanks to their bubble-esque structure and abstract mechanical interior. Coincidentally, SRU-21/P shares the same "1P" suffix as CWU-01P, which may indicate that they are similar models.
- Originally in Mega Man 6, SRU-21/P are only seen falling downwards and colliding with the water's surface tiles or falling downwards off-screen, and is never seen falling downward and colliding with solid ground. This new behavior is exclusive to Mega Man Maker.
- The SRU-21/P cannot be crushed by Push Blocks.
