The Fire Totem is a totem pole inspired enemy that originated from Mega Man 9, first appearing in Magma Man's stage. It has the ability to camouflage itself in the ground, before popping up to incinerate its enemies.
Fire Totem debuted in version 1.5.0 of Mega Man Maker.
Level Builder
The Fire Totem is designated to the 5th layer, along with tiles and most level objects. Its color can be manually selected between either blue (with a pinkish-red body and fire) or green (with an orange body and fire), but the selected color has no affect on its attributes or abilities, and is only for aesthetical purposes.
Behavior
Initially after spawning, the Fire Totem will hide underground - rendering it impervious to damage from most weapons. However, if the player enters a range of roughly 6 tiles away, the Fire Totem will erupt from the ground, blocking the path. Its head will then fire a set of four fireball projectiles in succession (with, obviously, fire properties) - each arcing a random distance in a random direction, passing through any terrain. After doing so, the Fire Totem will re-evaluate the player's position. If the player has exited the 6 tile range, it will shrink back into the ground, preparing another ambush. If the player has yet to leave, it will momentarily pause before firing another set of four fireballs. While exposed and attacking, the Fire Totem's body will reflect most projectiles - however, its head is vulnerable to damage, and can be destroyed, toppling the rest of the Fire Totem with it.

Trivia
- The Fire Totem is particularly vulnerable to the weapon Concrete Shot, which has the ability to destroy it in one hit.
- Certain weapons such as the Hyper Bomb are capable of destroying the Fire Totem in its submerged state.
- In addition, the Laser Trident can pierce its armored body, so both forms of the Fire Totem's invincibility can be countered.
