|Artwork of Mechakkero from Mega Man 3|
At specific intervals, Mechakkero will choose at random to do either a small jump slightly over 1 tile high towards the player, or a large jump slightly over 2 tiles high towards the player.
Due to Mechakkero having a short hitbox when on the ground, it can be tricky to hit them with weapon projectiles that have narrow vertical hitboxes or that are aimed too high. Proto Man and Bass' busters can hit a grounded Mechakkero, since Proto Man's uncharged shots are fired lower and Bass' Buster can be aimed diagonally downwards.
- Mechakkero also appears in the games Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Mega Man II / Rockman World 2, and Mega Man III / Rockman World 3.
- Kamadoma, an enemy appearing in Mega Man 1, is a predecessor model of the Mechakkero.
- Kerone, an enemy appearing in Mega Man 7, is a successor model of the Mechakkero.
- "kero" is a japanese word representing the sound a frog makes, similar to how "ribbit" is used in english.
