The Brown is an enemy from Mega Man 6, which originally appeared in Knight Man's stage. It is a small brown robot that dwells within a large mechanical barrel.

Brown debuted in version 1.7.0 of Mega Man Maker.

Level Builder

The Brown takes up a 2x2 space, is on the 5th layer of the editor, and has no customizable attributes.

Behavior

The Brown will lie in wait from within its barrel, firing arcing projectiles through the air at the player's current position. In this hiding state, is is completely invulnerable to attack, as only its head can be damaged. If the barrel is shot, however, the Brown is forced to emerge, and cannot fire any projectiles for the brief period in which it is exposed. Once forced out of its barrel, the Brown can be destroyed. The Brown will not fire any projectiles, or emerge from its barrel for that matter, if there are tiles or any level objects with collision (such as Push Blocks), directly above the barrel's current position, as it will be completely trapped. Certain weapons, such as Hyper Bomb, Black Hole Bomb, or Laser Trident can pierce a Brown's barrel and destroy them with ease, circumventing any of the shenanigans listed above.

Trivia

• The Brown could be considered the antithesis of the Sniper Joe, as it can only fire its projectiles when invulnerable, and directly attacking their shield is the appropriate strategy.
• The Brown's helmet resembles an onion dome, a particular shape used in some styles of architecture.
