Acid Drop is a level object originating from the game Mega Man 2 for the NES. It was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.7.0.
Water Drop is a custom level object originating in Mega Man Maker and was added in version 1.9.0. Water Drop is a custom variant of the Acid Drop Object.
Level Builder
Acid Drop and Water Drop are both 1x1 objects in the Editor that can be placed on the underside of tiles, specifically used on what are considered "ceilings" in a given screen.
Behavior
Both Acid Drop and Water Drop in-game will drop tiny droplet projectiles that travel downward: Acid Drop will damage the player if they come into contact with those projectiles while Water Drop will heal the player when a heat Tel Tel is present. Acid Drop and Water Drop can both be set in the Editor to one of 7 different time intervals that will determine the interval of when a drop is produced.
Interactions
In Mega Man Maker, Acid Drop and Water Drop can interact with Mega Man 11's Chemical Solution Object: Acid Drop increases the acidity level of Chemical Solution by one with each drop while Water Drop decreases the acidity level by one with each drop.
Additionally there is interaction with Mega Man 7 Burst Water; Acid Drop activates the Burst Water while Water Drop deactivates it.
Water Drops also douse fires from ignited Oil and Napalm Fire.
The Player Weapon Skull Barrier can be deactivated if hit with Water Drop, whilst Acid Drop ignores Skull Barrier's shield altogether leaving it intact but passing through and hitting the Player.
Both Acid Drops and Water Drops can hit the Mega Man 7 Invisible Level Objects revealing their hidden location to the Player.
Acid Drops and Water Drops both destroy the Mega Man 8 Floating Bubble Generator bubbles upon contact.
Fixed bugs
- Prior to version 1.9.2, Water Drops took four drops to remove one level of acidity of Chemical Solution instead of one drop.
- Prior to version 1.9.2.1, Water Drop would reduce the acidity of Chemical Solution only once.
