The Magnetic Coil is a custom level object originating from Mega Man Maker that will be featured in version 1.8.0.
The coil will pull the player towards it when it is hit with electricity. The magnetic coil has a similar pull to a magnetized Spring Man with electricity, although weaker.
The benefit of this object over Spring Man is the instant nature of the coil. When used with an On/Off Switch or other contraption, the affect to pull the player is immediate with 0 ramp up or cooldown.
Trivia
- The reveal of the Magnetic Coil ended its description with "What were you expecting something more?", likely to lampshade a similar gimmick from Mega Man 7 that functions much differently.
- While the clear inspiration for this custom Object originates from Spring Man and his Electromagnet reaction to electricity, the Magnetic Coil also bears resemblance to Electrical Coil Objects in Volt Man's stage in Mega Man on DOS both in appearance and function.
