Tama is a large feline robot enemy that has the capability of spitting yarn balls from its mouth, and launching flea robots from a compartment in its back. Tamas where originally designed by Dr. Light for a special event, but were modified for combat by Dr. Wily. They originate from Mega Man 3 from Top Man's stage and reappear in Mega Man: The Wily Wars and Mega Man II.
When Tama spawns, it will spit out two yarn balls from its mouth in its facing direction, and will then do nothing but wag its tail until both yarn balls either despawn or are destroyed. When both yarn balls despawn or are destroyed, Tama will then launch three robot fleas in its facing direction, and will then do nothing but wag its tail until all three robot fleas are despawned or are destroyed. When all three robot fleas are despawned or are destroyed, Tama's AI will loop back to its first behaviour, spitting out two yarn balls once again.
If the player gets behind Tama, Tama will not turn around to face the player and will continue to launch attacks in its facing direction.
Its contact damage is closer to that of Mega Man II, where it dealt 5 points, rather than the other appearances. In Mega Man 3, Tama acted as an invisible wall, while in Mega Man: The Wily Wars, contact damage with it was instantly lethal.
In Mega Man Maker, Tama is considered a Midboss, which means that with its presence onscreen all Boss Doors are blocked and it is necessary to destroy Tama before they can be opened.
Yarn Balls
The yarn balls have 8 HP, and deal 3 HP in contact damage to the player.
The yarn balls bounce aimlessly, approximately 1 tile high, and 0.75 tiles wide, and will reverse direction of travel if they collide with something resembling a wall.
Robot Fleas
The robot fleas have 1 HP, and deal 2 HP in contact damage to the player.
The robot fleas attack by jumping towards the player, always jumping approximately slightly over 4 tiles high and 2.5 tiles wide.
When Tama first launches the robot fleas, each of them will be launched at different distances, causing them to land in different locations.

Glitches
- Enemies with unique spawn-in animations, such as Hot Dog and Tama, may not react correctly to Crash Lift platforms when spawned falling onto one, if the Crash Lift platform is not moving upwards when landed on.
Trivia
- The tail of the Tama is actually its own set of sprites that are animated on their own.
