Crabbot (also known as Tanishi) is a freshwater snail robot. Crabbot was originally designed for seafloor exploration, but was repurposed for combat by Dr. Wily. They are enemies that originate from Bubble Man's stage and the third Wily stage in Mega Man 2, and reappear in Mega Man: The Wily Wars. The Crabbot was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.2.0.
When Crabbot is spawned, it will be in its "passive state". While in this passive state it will slowly travel in its facing direction, reversing direction of travel if it collies with a wall or reaches the edge of a platform. The enemy will also be classified as over one tile tall in height due to the shell being on its back, while in its passive state.
When Crabbot is lowered to 1 HP or less, it will transition into its "aggressive state". While in this aggressive state, Crabbot will immediately launch its shell in an arc in the opposite direction it is facing, and it will greatly increase its movement speed. The enemy will also be classified as less than half a tile tall in height due to the shell no longer being on its back, while in its aggressive state, allowing it to now be able to fit through narrow one tile high spaces, and avoid projectile attacks that are aimed too high.
Crabbot's shell, when launched into the air, has 3 HP, and can be destroyed by attacking it.
Crabbot can be set to face left or right in Mega Man Maker's Level Builder.
