The Dodonpa Cannon is an enemy from Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass that appears in both of Tengu Man's stages, Clown Man's stage, Grenade Man's stage, Cold Man's stage, Burner Man's stage, and several Wily Stages. It is in the game as of version 1.8.0.
Dodonpa Cannon is a basic cannon enemy that fires projectiles at Mega Man in volleys of five with pauses in between. Depending on the player's position, it can fire its projectiles at five possible heights. It is also able to turn around if the player gets behind it. Dodonpa Cannon comes in purple or green.
Unlike the games it appeared in, Dodonpa Cannon does not leave debris in the place it was destroyed and it disappears instead like other enemies do when they are defeated.
Trivia
- The original version of the Dodonpa Cannon had smoke around the projectile it fires. This detail is not implemented in Mega Man Maker.
- A variant of the Dodonpa Cannon called the Aloha Dodonpa appears in the intro stage of Mega Man 8, hiding beneath an artificial palm tree. As of version 1.8.5.2, this variant does not exist in Mega Man Maker.
