Oil is a level object that first appeared in Mega Man 6 in Flame Man's stage. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of its 1.4.0 version.
If any kind of fire touches Oil, including the player's own weapons, the Oil will ignite and function identically to Spikes. However, certain water-based assets will douse the flames and return them to normal.
Oil limits the player's jump height when jumping out of it to about one tile above the oil itself. This applies even if Oil is above the player when jumping.
Trivia
- Oil also appeared in Mega Man Powered Up, albeit with drastically different behavior: once lit, Oil would temporarily remain alight but could not be relit. Oil in the game would also damage the player instead of kill them instantly.
