Level mugshots are icons that appear next to a level's name in Mega Man Maker depending on the boss(es) present in the level. As of version 1.8.5.2, there are 56 level mugshots.
Trivia
- For the most part, level mugshots for bosses are the same as their profile icons. However, as of version 1.8.5.2, there are two exceptions:
- Yamato Man, whose level mugshot uses a lighter color palette
- Dark Man 4, whose profile icon was added in 1.8.1 with revisions made
- Prior to version 1.3.4, Mega Man's level mugshot was utilized when a level contained a Party Ball or an Energy Element.
- Like the other bosses, Gemini Man has a mugshot still present in the game. It has a frame number of 8, due to Party Ball/Energy Element's mugshot being frame number 0. Gemini Man himself has a boss ID of 9.
- Likely in order to properly show mugshot sprites, various extra sprites were added for v1.8.0, including two duplicates of the Kamegoro Maker mugshot (for the whirlpool generators), two duplicates of the Boobeam Trap mugshot (for the Boobeam enemies themselves as the controller handles the mugshot), and a transparent sprite with the text "Do Not Delete!" on it (likely for Boobeam Rails).
