The Oil Canister is a large tank of oil, and a level object that originally appeared in Mega Man Powered Up, as a hallmark gimmick of Oil Man's stage.

It will debut in version 1.10.0 of Mega Man Maker.

Behavior

The Oil Canister is a solid object (and thus, capable of blocking the player's or most enemies' movement) that can, seemingly, be set to any vertical height. The Oil Canister will deflect some weapons, such as Mega Buster, preventing any projectiles from passing through it - however, if it is struck by a fire-based weapon, such as Fire Storm, it will explode. It is unknown at this time whether or not the explosion is capable of setting off other level objects such as Blast Explosives or Explosive Crates.

Trivia

• The Oil Canister is extremely similar to another level object - the Ice Barrier - but with two crucial differences. For one, the Ice Barrier does not deflect projectiles, and secondly, the Oil Canister will destroy a fire-based projectile on contact in its explosion, while they will merely melt and pass through an Ice Barrier without issue.
