Floating Balloons are level objects originating from Tengu Man's stage in Mega Man & Bass. They are featured in Mega Man Maker since version 1.8.0.
A stationary Floating Ball will float in place while Floating Ballons from a spawner will slowly rise towards the top of the screen. Both can be either orange or green, which will affect their behavior: orange balloons will burst shortly after being stood on by the player, while green balloons will stay intact.
Regardless of their color, balloons will burst when they hit a solid object such as tiles, spikes or when hit by the player's weapons. Standing on a Floating Balloon slows down their ascent; however, enemies, bosses, and other level objects can stand safely on Floating Balloons without slowing down their ascent or causing orange Floating Balloons to burst.
Floating Balloon spawners have set intervals from from 1 to 9. A Floating Balloon will appear from the bottom of the screen in a single two-tile wide column from where it was placed in the Level Builder and a new Floating Balloon will only spawn once the Floating Balloon from the respective spawner has despawned. However, multiple Floating Balloon Spawners can be placed in a single column in the Level Builder to allow for multiple Floating Balloons to appear in a column.
