Plantform is a Level Object originating in Plant Man's stage from Mega Man 6. It was added to Mega Man Maker in version 1.7.0.
A Plantform is a platform that can be one of two states: closed or open. If closed it features no collision and allows the player, enemies and mobile level objects to fall through it. Once in its open state the Plantform becomes a semi-solid platform allowing the player, enemies, and Level Objects through it from below but will catch anything above it. A closed Plantform can be opened by the player hitting it with a Weapon. An open Plantform cannot be hit by player shots (with the exception of Magic Card) and can return to its closed state upon respawning.
Since version 1.8.0, a Plantform can also be set as always open in the Level Builder.
Interactions
- The Magic Card weapon from Mega Man and Bass can open Plantforms just like other Weapons, but also has the unique ability to close open Plantforms. This allows the player to open and close pathways strategically during gameplay.
- Opening a Plantform uses up the Magic Card projectile; however, closing one does not use up the projectile and so can still freely pass through the Plantform.
- The pink variant of the Level Object Bell Ringer from Mega Man and Bass can switch the state of Plantforms to open or closed with each Bell Ring.

Trivia
- The description for Plantform is a reference to an exploit in Mega Man 6 that allowed the player to jump upon closed Plantforms as if they were open.
