DLN-004/DRN-004 Guts Man is one of the six Robot Master bosses from Mega Man featured in Mega Man Maker since version 1.10.0. Guts Man is armed with his signature weapon, the Super Arm, which he uses excessively and exclusively when attacking.
Guts Man is a Robot Master created by Dr. Light that was stolen and reprogrammed by Dr. Wily during the events of Mega Man/Mega Man Powered Up.
Level Builder
Guts Man's Super Arm Blocks have eight skins that can be chosen from as well as an option to throw randomly picked Super Arm Block skins.
Behavior
Guts Man randomly alternates between two behaviors:
- Jump three tiles vertically, spawn a Super Arm Block from the top of the screen upon landing and throw it at the player. Once thrown, the Super Arm Block splits into four pieces when it collides with a solid surface.
- Jump three tiles vertically and three tiles horizontally left or right.
Guts Man will shake the screen upon landing on a solid surface.
Trivia
- Originally, during the development process of 1.0.0, Guts Man was considered as a potential boss to represent the first Mega Man, but WreckingPrograms decided to opt for Cut Man and Bomb Man instead.[citation needed]
- The description of Guts Man's reveal on the official Mega Man Maker YouTube channel begins with "DU-NUNNNNNNNN!!!", a reference to the same sound effect that plays during the "Guts Man's Ass" meme.
- As 1.10.0 is focusing on adding assets as per the choice of members of the development team, Guts Man was chosen by JumpDashEvade to be added for the update.
