DLN-00A/DRN-00A Time Man is one of the eight Robot Master bosses from Mega Man Powered Up featured in Mega Man Maker since version 1.1.0. His signature weapon is the Time Slow.

Time Man was created by Dr. Light and is one of the Robot Masters that Dr. Wily stole and reprogrammed during the events of Mega Man Powered Up.

Behavior

When the battle starts, Time Man will run towards the player, fire two long and fast-travelling arrows on the ground, jump, then use his Time Slow, slowing down everything but him and the music. From there on, he has several kinds of attacks: He will shoot one long purple arrow-like clock hand at the player, and then jump and shoot a shorter and slower one towards the player in the air. If time is slowed down, after this attack he will deactivate the Time Slow, speeding up everything again. Sometimes he will shoot a long arrow, run away from the player, and shoot a short arrow suddenly. In Mega Man Powered Up, Time Man could occasionally roll to dodge bullets. This attack was removed in Mega Man Maker.

Time Slow can make it hard to dodge the projectiles and traverse the terrain in unconventional boss rooms. Thinking ahead and being able to react quick to compensate can be helpful to maintain control of the situation, but the sudden return of speed can throw players off if they are not paying attention.

Trivia

  • During 1.1.0's development, beta tester at time - Big Fish guided WreckingPrograms about Time Man's pattern.[1]
