The Tripropellan is an enemy originating from Mega Man 7, appearing in a variety of stages, such as Burst Man's, Spring Man's, Junk Man's, and Cloud Man's stages, as well as the Wily Castle. It resembles a large drone, and is outfitted with a propeller and state-of-the-art weaponry such as a set of three cannons and side compartments for storing explosive ordnance.

The Tripropellan debuted in version 1.4.0 of Mega Man Maker.

Level Builder

The Tripropellan is designated to the 6th layer which means that it can be placed over most tiles and level objects. Its initial facing direction can also be manually adjusted.

Behavior

After spawning, the Tripropellan will begin floating up and down in a range of around 4 tiles. At times, it will routinely pause to fire a volley of three bullets from its cannons - opting for the cannon aiming closest to the player's current position. One cannon aims straight forwards, the second diagonally downwards, and the third harshly sloped downwards. If the player is directly under the Tripropellan, it will instead open up its side compartments and release a pair of missiles, which will drop to the ground and explode. Both the missiles themselves and the explosions are capable of damaging the player. Each and every time the Tripropellan attacks, it will flip towards the player's position.

Trivia

  • The Tripropellan's bullets and missiles are both capable of being destroyed by the Black Hole Bomb.
  • The Tripropellan's explosive missiles can destroy fragile level objects such as the Chill Block, as well as detonate explosives such as the Explosive Crates and the Blast Explosives.
  • A variant of the Tripropellan known as the Monopellan appears in both Mega Man 8 and Mega Man & Bass - a downgraded model armed with only one cannon and zero explosives. As of the writing of this page, the Monopellan has not yet been added to Mega Man Maker.
