The On/Off Switch is a level object originating from Mega Man Powered Up that is available since 1.7.0. It consists of a system that can enable and disable special solid blocks, ladders, and spikes by attacking the switch. They were revealed in Mega Man Maker's third anniversary trailer.

On/Off Switches can be attacked to switch the state of other On/Off gimmicks. Certain weapons such as those that affect the entire screen like Gravity Hold do not change the state of On/Off Switches.
The switch itself is a 1x1 tile object with the appearance of an orb that can be attacked to enable or disable special blocks. Any offensive weapon, including contact weapons (such as the Top Spin and riding the Oil Slider), a Fuse Laser Crawler/Turret's laser, or an On/Off Searchy activating can make them switch colors. The switch is fully solid, stationary, and not affected by gravity.

On/Off Switch Timers automatically switch the state of On/Off gimmicks on a timer set from 1-9 as long as they are present in the active room.

Trivia
- A few assets have On/Off variants that have special behavior depending on the state of an On/Off Switch:
- On/Off Searchy and their corresponding spawners will switch On/Off Switch states when it detects the player.
- On/Off Magnetic Ceiling will attract the player upwards when active.
- On/Off Targets can only be destroyed when active.
- On/Off Shupponpon Rails in version 1.9.0 that the player and certain level objects and enemies can ride on when active.
