Due to Mechakkero having a short hitbox when on the ground, they are difficult to hit with weapon projectiles such as basic shots from the [[Mega Man]]'s [[Mega Buster]] that have narrow vertical hitboxes or that are aimed too high. Weapons with projectiles closer to the ground such as shots from [[Proto Man]]'s [[Proto Buster]] who's uncharged shots are fired lower than Mega Man's, or those from weapons that can be aimed diagonally downwards such as [[Bass]]' [[Bass Buster]] can hit a grounded Mechakkero.

Mechakkero is a small one-eyed frog-like robot originally from several stages in Mega Man 3 and featured in Mega Man Maker. Machakkero's movements consist of sitting on the ground for short periods of time, then jumping in specific intervals in the general direction of the Player Character. They will choose at random to do either a small jump slightly over 1 tile high towards the player, or a large jump slightly over 2 tiles high towards the player.

Due to Mechakkero having a short hitbox when on the ground, they are difficult to hit with weapon projectiles such as basic shots from the Mega Man's Mega Buster that have narrow vertical hitboxes or that are aimed too high. Weapons with projectiles closer to the ground such as shots from Proto Man's Proto Buster whose uncharged shots are fired lower than Mega Man's, or those from weapons that can be aimed diagonally downwards such as Bass' Bass Buster can hit a grounded Mechakkero.

In the Level Builder, Mechakkero come in two color variants: red and yellow. Functionally the two versions are identical.

Trivia

  • Kamadoma, an enemy appearing in Mega Man 1, is a predecessor model of the Mechakkero while Kerone, an enemy appearing in Mega Man 7, is a successor model of the Mechakkero.
