Hoohoo is an owl robot that appears in Concrete Man's stage and the first Wily Castle stage in Mega Man 9.

Level Builder

The direction of a Hoohoo or Hoohoo Spawner can be set to face left or right in the Level Builder, determining the direction in which a Hoohoo will fly.

Behavior

Hoohoos fly in the air and hold a rock that they throw before the player. When flying, they will move in a set direction and stick to it, going slightly up and down in the shape of a sinusoidal wave and ignoring any terrain collision.

The rock they throw can be either made of earth or ice. If the rock touches terrain, it can leave debris that harms the player character upon contact. Both the rock and the debris can be destroyed by the player's weapons, and can leave pickups. If the rock is released in terrain, it will crash immediately. The alternate ice projectile comes from the Endless Attack mode of Mega Man 9, where the Hoohoo drop ice balls instead.

A Hoohoo Spawner will spawn Hoohoos indefinitely if the player is in the spawner's area. There can only be one spawned Hoohoo at the same time by each spawner.
