Ice Wave is Frost Man's signature weapon originating from Mega Man 8. It is featured in Mega Man Maker as of version 1.9.0. When fired the Player drops a small icicle, which upon hitting a surface, creates a damaging wave of of icicles that can travel along the ground and walls. Enemies in a shielded state are resistant to damage from Ice Wave, though Ice Wave can still pass through them and continue on its travel path.

Being an Ice based weapon Ice Wave can freeze fire based Level Objects like Lava, Flame Pillars and Fire Walls. Ice Wave can also freeze Fans for around three seconds, temporarily stopping Fans from pushing the player upwards/downwards.

Interactions

  • Ice Wave was Tengu Man's native weakness in Mega Man 8 and his special interaction with Ice Wave is recreated in Mega Man Maker. So long as Tengu Man has not been given immunity in the created level to Ice Wave, if hit close to a surface with it he will be frozen in place for a few seconds.
