The Skull Walker, debuting in Mega Man 6, is an upgraded model of the Docron, and a reconnaissance robot with the ability to track down and pursue targets, such as Mega Man. It appeared in Knight Man's and Tomahawk Man's stages, as well as the Mr. X stages.
Skull Walker debuted in version 1.7.0 of Mega Man Maker.
Level Builder
The Skull Walker comes in two colors - purple and blue. The color setting will only apply to the base/legs of the Skull Walker, as the skull itself shall always be tinted green.
Behavior
After spawning in, the Skull Walker will begin chasing the player with the intent of ramming into them. Its running speed is slightly faster than that of the player's. If the Skull Walker reaches a wall, then it will automatically attempt a jump in order to scale the terrain. It can only climb walls up to 2 tiles in height, similar to the Walking Bomb. After landing, the Skull Walker will take a brief moment to look around and evaluate its surroundings before giving chase. The Skull Walker will also try to jump over pits if it detects a ledge, and can cross pits up to 4 tiles in width.
The height of a Skull Walker's jump is affected by Water, Chemical Solution, and Gravity Fields, but oddly, not by the Low Gravity Section.
Trivia
- Despite its origins as a Docron successor and blatantly resembling the Wily Machines and the Doctor's skeletal aesthetic, the Skull Walker never makes an appearance in any of the Dr. Wily stages in Mega Man 6.
