'Kaminari Kogoro is an enemy originating from Cloud Man's stage in Mega Man 7, and has been in Mega Man Maker since version 1.4.0.

Behavior

It will hide outside the bottom of a given screen out of the player's sight: when the player draws two tiles or closer horizontally near to a Kaminari Kogoro, it will quickly ascend straight up into the player's path attempting to hit them. Once Kaminari Kogoro reaches two tiles from the top of the screen it will immediately stop, pause for a few seconds, fire an electrical beam of energy straight down, then gradually proceed back down to its starting position in a short horizontal swaying pattern. Once it reaches its original position Kaminari Kogoro will repeat the process until it is destroyed or despawned.

Kaminari Kogoro's electrical burst can interact with the Mega Man 11 Fuse Crosser or Fuse Xtender as well as Mega Man Maker's Magnetic Coil.

Trivia

  • In Mega Man 7, Kaminari Kogoro would not fire electrical bolts in Cloud Man's stage unless the player had initiated rain or snow by shooting a Tel Tel. In Mega Man Maker, Kaminari Kogoro will always perform its electrical attack regardless of the Tel Tel weather.
  • In the Level Builder, Kaminari Kogoro can only placed at the bottom edge between screens. However, using the copy and paste Quick Tools, the user can place Kaminari Kogoro anywhere on the screen.
    • This has no special effect unless Kaminari Kogoro is spawned in right after a screen transition where it will immediately spawn at its position in the Level Builder instead of appearing from the bottom of the screen.
