Pukapucker is a small robot with a hovering sphere for a head, and a bucket-shaped body with feet. They are enemies that originate from Mega Man 5 from Crystal Man's stage.

Behavior

When Pukapucker spawns, it will walk 4 tiles forwards and then 4 tiles backwards, and then repeat the behaviour. While it is doing this, the enemy's spear shaped head will hover up and down 1.5 tiles high at regular intervals. If the head collides with a ceiling when hovering upwards, it will reverse direction and hover downwards.

If Pukapucker's head is destroyed, or is despawned by traveling off-screen, its body will also be destroyed.

If Pukapucker's body is destroyed, or is despawned by traveling off-screen, the head will continue to travel in its facing direction, bouncing up and down on the ground 4.5 tiles high. If the bouncing head collides with a wall, it will reverse its direction of travel. If the head collides with a ceiling when bouncing, it will reverse direction and bounce downwards.

Pukapucker can be set to face left or right in Mega Man Maker's Level Builder. Since version 1.10.0, the Pukapucker Head by itself exists as a separate enemy which can also be set to face either left or right.

Trivia

  • Pukapucker may be based on a Floating Ball Toy.

Glitches

  • When a Pukapuker's body is pulled by a Conveyor Belt, its head will clip through walls it collides with.
